Past few weeks

In recent weeks i have done a variety of jobs. I have practised laying bricks. That was allright but the mortar was bad, and the bricks did not stick so well. I have helped Leevi with the fence. Leevi has sawn some timber and i bundled them together. At nine o'clock morning coffee is still in.

During the last couple of months i have done a variety of jobs. First of all a door was made. We made it with Roope, in the work progress we did couple of mistakes and it took a while. We made the frames on the door and also installed the hinges.


Later with Niklas we put laminated flooring and, in my opinion it was nice and easy. In the same working place, we had to do and install the lists in the vestibule. For a good job we were rewarded with coffee!


I was also putting wallpaper on the wall. It was such a job that I did not succeed very well.
There are two types of wallpapers: non wowen and normal wallpaper. Difference hides in the wallpaper paste, non wowen wallpaper needs paste straight onto wall and normal wallpaper need paste onto paper itself. 


At this week i have tiled onto training wall. In my opinion it is easy.

on-the-job learning at home (autumn)

I worked at home. It was nice.


I painted a plinth from our house, window frames, ladder and rooftrusses.


I also made a warm storage space.
First, i made the frame structure. I started from the lower reaches, then uprights and finally upper reaches. When the frame structure was ready, i placed plasterboards onto inside. After that i put wool over there.


A lot of coffee had to be drunk during working days. 


There was a brief review of my on-the-job learning session.

Blog English

I have to write a blog in English. We have renovated the walls at Leskelä.

Next, we should put a ceiling panels, that is going to be interesting! 

I do not have '' learning at work '' place. I'm probably at the school, the first few weeks. 

Nurmes not really been building plenty of work, at the moment.

I don't know what to write here.  

Leskelässä jälleen ja kokeita!

Koululta loppui hommat kesken ja päästiin sitten Leskelään paneloimaan. Työ on sujunut sopivaan tahtiin ja meitä on siellä aika monta tekijää.

Ensi viikolla onkin monta koetta ja eilen teinkin jo yhden! Voisin tässä heti sanoa, että kaikki tulee menemään läpi.

Viime viikkoina koululla ollaan roudattu sähköpuolelta tavaraa, maalattu paneeleita, keittiön pöytätasot on myös valmiita.

Toppi olisi kahden viikon päästä eikä paikkaa ole vieläkään löytynyt.

Asbesti

Asbestia käytettiin tulenkestävänä eristeenä ja sidosaineena. Asbestimineraaleja on krysotiili, aktinoliitti, antofylliitti, amosiitti, krokidoliitti ja tremoliitti. Asbestilla on hyvät palonkesto-ominaisuudet.
Asbestia on käytetty mm. putkieristeissä, tasotteissa, maaleissa, liimoissa yms.

Purkutöissä täytyy tehdä asbestikartoitus ja sen tekee alan ammattilaiset! Asbestin purku on siihen asti '' turvallista '' kun pinta ei rikkoudu ja se ei pääse pölyämään.

Asbestille altistuminen aiheuttaa keuhkosyöpää, asbetoosia, keuhkopussin ja vatsakalvon syöpää. Sairaudet puhkeavat 10-20 vuoden jälkeen.

Sadevesijärjestelmät

Hyvällä sadevesijärjestelmällä estetään rakenteiden kosteus-, home, ja routavauriot. Hyvä järjestelmä estää lammikot pihalla ja jäätiköt kulkuväylillä. Sadevesiä eli hulevesiä ei saa johtaa salaojiin sillä rankkasateella salaojat alkaisivat työntää vettä talon perustuksiin ja putkisto ei toimisi ollenkaan. Nämä ongelmat vältät kun hommaat kunnon sadevesijärjestelmän joka ohjaa sadeveden oikeaan paikkaan.
